Rivanna River Basin Commission Annual Conference   9/29/2022

It's a great honor to have you as an opportunity to get involved in that.

We have a few things that are going to interact with us.

I think it's been a nice time to talk to you about what's going on with our community.

So when we talk about an energy transition, solar is not the natural bullet.

Every resource has inspiration or trade-off between each one of them.

So one of the things that we're really trying to understand is what part of the community, what part of the community is involved in this?

So, obviously, utility is definitely one of the things that we're trying to understand is what part of the community is involved in this?

So, obviously, utility is definitely one of the things that we're trying to understand is what part of the community is involved in this?

So obviously, utility is definitely one of the things that we're trying to understand is what part of the community

We've been at it for the past, we haven't had a lot of fun.

One of the things that we have opportunities to do now is hopefully you can see why it's so important.

How can we refine the selection?

You can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me, you can hear me,

We're looking at operating means, so I was just going to let our players take a look at their plans.

We want them to be able to take a look at their work.

We want them to be able to learn from their colleagues.

And I thought it would be interesting for them to learn more, which is a really important thing that happens

one of the following projects we've been working on.

So, maybe one of the things we've been working on here is to have a water system in place to protect the soil volume, to ensure solar energy to be accomplished.

But I have a point of principle that's woven into it really well over the years.

It's the second time that we've been doing that in the water industry for a long time.

And overall, in the water industry,

There's an opportunity here that we want a lot of people to come.

So, to give us a little bit of support, we're going to be talking about skills that we were wanting, but I think that we're all going to be talking about those.

So, we're going to be talking about engineering and planning.

So, we're just talking about increasing or expanding our existing data structure.

And then, finally, we've got an opportunity here, and I'm sure that we've had everyone finish their

I don't really have access to the water.

I'm not going to use the water really.

You really have to say what you want to use.

You really need to use the distribution.

I don't use the amount of water that you can use.

Some of you, you can go by that level of responsibility to get the amount of water that you can use.

But if you don't want to do it, you can't do it.

You can't do it if you don't want to do it unless there's not the amount of water that you can use.

So, in about 18 minutes, we've designed one of our various interleaving developments in the source, but it doesn't mean we want to use your learning system.

That's changing.

All I've known is that you go out there and see the data, just learn the transition from the world at one point, and then you can then choose your experience.

We developed a consumer society, so I went through the box and learned about its community and how to do it.

So we feel like we kind of have that on the list.

We've actually happened to have a little bit of a civil engagement there with this body, and that leads to their ability to try to get us to be down to the system that they want to be able to work with.

So with this, we've been talking a little bit about community work for research, for development, innovation, and then a lot of what we've been doing around the world is corporate edge technologies, and then we look at ways that we can overcome some of these challenges.

We'll be able to talk about some of those variables.

And I'm glad we just got out of the day.

Please send in your questions in the chat.

I don't want to leave you with anything we have.

I'll follow some of these and require you to use the arrow.

And if you don't use it, we'll know that you can read.

We'll have a letter that you can read.

So here's some other things I'm going to have in addition to that.

I just want to highlight a couple of things that I would like to give you as a group.

Please remember that I'm a human rights activist.

I've been subject to everything now.

I've been proud to come to the U.S.P.I.A.

and share this with other people around the world.

and we can't lose each other.

All the way to the end of 2021, able to become one of the first three to do the solar condition, they wanted to do that with the diamond, but it's really a big winner, and then we're going from one of the things, not all the stuff, to 94 masks and point of our accuracy, snacks

and other teams of managers are an opportunity for an extent, but I think it's going to be live.

This is part of a group of everybody's data center.

I'm going to turn it over to Lisa.

So what we're going to do is we're going to put you on the report.

It's all going to come up in a minute.

All right, so we're going to go down to solar.

One of these three generations will be solar with you in the long run.

One of the teams in the first year, HSCSOR, who was founded in 1982, were here.

That turned into the world we're here to look at.

We're talking about this nuclear war that we're trying to do here.

The arms of this nuclear war was the nuclear war.

And generally, we're going to look at the nuclear war or the nuclear war.

So go ahead and read it.

So here are just a few examples in the map of some of the techniques that are computational and relatable in the region.

You can see from this letter that they're telling me not to be small, how to be small to this point.

And if it's large, I think the longer you go, it's really large, and those steps are really important to me.

So when you talk about large scale floor, large scale floor, large scale floor, large scale floor, large scale floor, large scale floor, large scale floor, large scale floor, large scale floor, large scale floor, large scale floor.

The beginning operation now is on the east side of the border and everything, you know, to the west.

Anywhere we can find a lot more things to do next century.

So, I think we have a whole class of great people, also from some of the best classes I've had here, probably the best, which are the entry points.

There are general, general places, long, you know, where it's possible, you know, we won't do that.

Heather Biederlau, Brett Owens, D.U.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.E.B.

and we're going to be talking about all kinds of materials that we're going to be speaking about specifically about the data technology, the database plan, the email plans.

I just want to include that these plans are going to be $40.

We want to ensure that we are not deciding whether she's going to be sorted.

including one with an environmental environment that will be smaller than the rest of the government, and of course important and popular, so there will be a lot to do.

Some of it will be popular, some of it will be mostly explicitly paid by the virus, the importance of the authority of local governments in their reporting, and so to say, if not with any level of ordinance, the rest of the environment will be fully distributed.

Yeah, I think it's a good thing that we see that in the community.

One of the people I've been specifically is from the first part of the A1, one A1 team.

It's a little bit of insurance, and it's about

Lloyd Minnemeyer, David Minnemeyer, Spencer Harlow, Matt Rolfe, and Paul Burrows, Greg Brubin, and Eric Bier, the other friends of yours.

You can get a doc, Greg Riehman, Matt Rolfe, and Brooke Riehman, who are our same friends, Matt Rolfe.

And then this time of the play, right now, it's the last second session of the series, which we're going to go to for a brief introduction to Minnemeyer.

and Mary Wilke.

It was perfect that I was told about it, so I committed myself to the community, so that I would be able to deliver all of the information to all of us, all of us, unknowingly, that I want to send to the community, to the community, globally, so that I could connect with them, connect with all of us, connect with all of us, connect with all of us, connect with all of us, connect with all of us, connect with all of us, connect with all of us, connect with all of us, connect with all of us, connect with all of us, connect with all of us, connect with all of us, connect with all of us.

The department has been more than 10 acres of land back home, so more than 100 acres continue to be a source of food.

I know I have to have a basketball game in action in the core of our community, but we'll not be able to do that.

We'll definitely be able to do that.

But we may be able to do this in the U.S. and in the U.S. We may be able to do this in the U.S. We may be able to do this in the U.S. We may be able to do this in the U.S. We may be able to do this in the U.S. We may be able to do this in the U.S. We may be able to do this in the U.S. We may be able to do this in the U.S. We may be able to do this in the U.S. We may be able to do this in the U.S. We may be able to do this in the U.S.

There are a few more but I will give you some time before we move on.

In 1874, there were a lot of extensions in the map, so there was either a map of the farm place, or a front of the farm place.

I think that was probably the name you had when you went to work for the team.

So, this new world war is due to the development of the new people, and it includes some data in front of the new developments.

There are a lot of things.

How do they define time follows?

That's a really good question.

I don't think that I could use their ability to do that.

For the next case, I'm going to see what we can find in the new one.

In terms of the complaint, it's important to know that the current solar system has been in the house between this world and the state world where it has been seen before as a means, and there are other dimensions.

Secondly, what you see in the office next to the area that we're talking about first,

Daniel Wooten on how we were dealing with that and what we should do.

It's kind of a little more moderate, but it's going to be part of the decision, and it's going to be important by the 13th court, in particular, to remove the role of having the role of the student.

So there's a little bit of a potential there for having the role of the student.

This evening was nothing but evening 206.

So I'm turning it in a year ago.

It started a couple of times in the media.

I'm coming to you live.

I'm going to be responding.

We just collected data relating to your local policy, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central Virginia, in central

Surprisingly, a large percentage of people were just not thinking about getting their policies for SOAR.

In Central Virginia, the numbers slightly higher in North Carolina than you get, but there's still satellites that have been out of state.

We also talked about where they turn for support.

It's interesting because, um, when you want data and information about SOAR, um, they're not really turning to their plans for submissions first,

and they're certainly not turning to the local Extension Office or Soil and Water Conservation District.

I don't know if that's historically because they have a capitated information available for them or some other thing, but by and large, we're kind of looking for other things.

So if you want to learn about solar and top-tier neighbors, or if you want to just put that in the chat.

So probably generally about a third or third of the third are addressing vehicle energy and their plant plans.

The Harrison Gardens, I'm just sitting here.

Yes.

Student River.

Okay, so I thought this was interesting.

I asked, do local regulations specify criteria for the evaluation of student rivers of the program when reviewing each of the scales for application?

In Central Virginia, so this graph doesn't match that.

This is the state level reform, but in Central Virginia, 47% said yes, a half did, a third said no, and a third said no.

So either way, just like I said, there's an opportunity, I don't know how you see it, but we'll get to learn more about this kind of reverse program and how they can consider those when they're viewing the service.

Okay, thanks.

Now next groups.

Again, we're just in terms of resources and things like that.

Think about ways to get involved and respond to some of the state policies that are being considered because they do agree on some similar topics.

We're going to trickle down to local level reservations.

So if there's something that you particularly want to advocate for, I mean, make your local representatives aware that that's something that, like, maybe a solar project could offset some of the need for that, but no, you could negotiate that on your behalf.

Operation Native Plans and Information Plans are kind of thinking forward, thinking ahead just beyond the initial operation of the communities, about the possible impacts down the road.

And then from a development review perspective, it's probably a good opportunity for you to kind of get involved with that plan, other than the monitoring.

You might want to do upstream monitoring, things like that, during the construction and development of the project.

Those are things you might want to think about when you're done with it, so that we can get working with conditions.

And then Miles without decommissioning report, if you know anything in depth, it's wonderful.

Irene is here somewhere, she's the author.

There she is.

She'll be out on the table talking about best practices for the DCC and long-term effects, and so on, and how to carry those on set.

And then Liz with this.

Okay.

Thank you.

Thank you so much, Lori and Lucinda, thank you so much for your questions.

So, Lori here is the Vice President of Marketing for Honorable Energy.

She has over a decade of experience in energy and climate advocacy.

She was awarded a Platinum Genie Award in 2018 and a rising star for the energy industry, a corporate spot on the solar of the grid, a ranking of the first influential leader in solar industry.

Oren is then allowed to activate as a communications consultant for non-profit and global energy industry.

as a managing partner for wind farm and independent people working as a funding-led communications coordinator.

She's worked with leaders across the wind, solar, and energy storage and finance sectors, including women of renewable industries and sustainable energy, clean capital, and an Armstrong growth partner, solar energy trade show,

and Britta Henry, all tremendous and has energy.

Previously, she was at the American Wind Energy Association, now the American Wind Power Association, where she was responsible for the reasons we watch at the end of our social media program and the power of wind online at the City of Orleans.

Her work was recognized among the top 10 inconvenient savage trade associations.

She has also worked successfully

to organize, market, and advocate campaigns for the Chesapeake Climate Action Network in Martinville, Virginia, and the planning and development of the games in this research.

Hi, thanks for the introduction.

So I'm very excited to be here.

As noted in my bio, I could previously work with the Chesapeake Climate Action Network, so I have spent a lot of time

In Charlottesville, I'm from the area working on the energy initiatives and by the climate change.

And so it is really exciting to be back here in my prior role working with the solar company to talk about how we bring solar to the Commonwealth.

And specifically today I'm talking about the opportunity to fuel solar for variable tanks, which was briefly mentioned by my predecessor.

It is an exciting and emerging trend in the industry and one that's very important

So, first thing I want to talk about in the middle of the day is sun and shining, which is a great thing.

Yeah, send them all out.

So, if you can't see the beautiful pictures.

Oh, neither there.

So, Encore Google Energy is a solar and storage developer.

We're based in Burlington, Vermont, but we have over 80 projects across the Northeast.

that are fully built, operational, generating clean energy.

We have a few projects in Virginia that are going through that very bottom-up process that was outlined prior, but we're really excited about the opportunity presented in commonwealth.

The last time I was working in Virginia was prior to that draft from solar was taking off, so to see the trajectory of the industry here is really exciting.

One of Encore's specialties as a solar company is that we work on

undervaluing properties, so landfill, ground hills, and bowl lines, and surface lines.

We have over-attentive expertise in giving these challenging sites a second act or an encore as a renewable energy project.

And so we're really excited about potential for what's happening here in Virginia and how we can bring our expertise to develop on these critical pieces of land that are

Increasingly challenging but important for us to be able to tap into.

Part of our mission is that we are a good board.

So we believe that business can be used and leveraged for a course for good.

And so we feed with our values.

And so what that looks like is being true community partners in the places that we work.

Figuring out how to maximize it and equip for each project and equip or install.

And seeing how we can get back.

We support a number of nonprofits

one of the men and women in renewable industries and sustainable energy, clear alternatives, solar for all, locosolar.

We're actively trying to make sure that this energy transition is as equitable as possible.

Part of it is the right thing to do, but it's also important at the point of need to do this stuff.

And we're, you know, that's the threats of climate change.

Some of our friends and family are taking this down in Florida.

We need to have the brightest minds, we need to have all the minds, all the ideas, all of the time that are available to solve these problems and that's only when we can open with an equitable transition where everyone voices.

So that we work with that, we work with that, we work with it too, but one of the things we've really started to lean into and lead with is our work in agriculture.

So today I'm going to talk about sort of what I consider the three sectors of agriculture and solar, which is first, pollinators on the ground cover, second, solar grazing, and third, which is the newest sort of phase of this, which is solar rain flocks.

And I'm trying to keep it pretty specific for those three things that I would also talk about solar and all these things all day, so that I can give you a little time at the end for some questions.

which I think I should be able to do.

So, first, all the other stuff that I'm going to talk about.

So, as we've talked about, the operation, the maintenance aspect of solar development, and it's something we are incredibly excited about.

And one of the reasons we started to do this across our entire portfolio project is first and foremost, it gave a better sense of service and value than it did to people.

Just having traditional grass or anything underneath there and a native pollinator species is providing critical habitat for endangered pollinators.

It is food security and resilience.

It's actually more cost efficient long term.

So one of the challenges related to it is there is an increase in cost and figuring out what type of seed you need to plant.

Sometimes those seeds are a little bit more expensive, but we've actually found out that

When we plant pollinators, normally for one of our arrays, you would put molding across that array, or you can buy it time to gear.

When we plant pollinators, we mean for ground management, actually it's usually once a year, if that.

So it really cuts down on the long-term cost of managing your study.

Which I'll show in the preliminary results.

I'm showing how pollinators are responding, giving them a home.

It's very exciting.

That's on that next slide.

There's also a brilliant study showing that the pollinator from the ground cover actually keeps the ground cooler and so if the ground is cooler, the solar array actually has a higher output so it's increasing and maximizing the production for a site and then it also does a lot of pad valuing and permitting process in array and you can see this is

The flowers are beautiful.

There's like a candle there.

Again, it looks pretty.

I mean, at the end of the day, the more these sites can look physically appealing, the easier it is to get through the herding process.

And the good news is, if people don't apply at home, they do not care if they necessarily stay under that panel.

They travel through the whole neighborhood, and it will increase pollination,

So, here's the final tomorrow.

It was the third colony of our solar product in 2017.

So,

Again, this is new, and so we're still getting a lot of data about it.

Again, I'm going to take a picture.

You can't see it in the last button.

I mentioned the long-term profit-effectiveness of getting the rural space, so if there's no one else, you're going to be burning them over.

One of my favorite parts is that there are beehives, which we carry there, so we are creating solar powered honey.

That honey is being used in

AL, so there's now solar, or I mean, here, in the area, but marketing technique, a little bit of a change solution, which I think you can get out of there, I think.

We've been partnering with a local organization that's actually gone out to the products.

So the ones that have shorter bars or newer products and longer bars or older products.

We've gone out every year to now see, sampling 16, how effective is providing this habitat is for these products.

And across the board volume that we're measuring, we've seen anywhere from 600% to 1,000% increase, not as in the number of volunteers,

but also the diversity of pollinators that were being processed at gas.

So I would say at the moment you're not having a problem sourcing the native seed.

I would say the biggest thing is just making the case for the cost because it generally is a little bit more expensive.

But the longer we have these projects in place that we're seeing savings that put pollinators in, I'd like to point out a little bit when we switched from

You know, Kiki Dessen's labels are compact for us and people were a little bit unsure at first, but spending 10 times, maybe five times as much on a label, that label is a lot stronger.

So we're sort of having that, we're realizing that authentically right now.

Does that make sense?

I don't have an intuition specific to Virginia, but I think I'm going to get, I have some reports at the end that are linked.

I'm not going to go over your own stuff, but where you can sort of find those links.

Yes.

So every site has something specific, so there is like an algorithm to figure out what we need.

So we're not necessarily, or I have to say I am not the expert who figured out what those native seed mixes are, but it's adding into the local experts and partnerships and collaborations to figure out how to do that.

And then there's an interesting sort of conversation happening right now too, to figure out which of these native seeds

will grow on contaminated sites like the Annabelle's, Brownfield's, abandoned mines.

We have been in contact and talking with the Southwest Virginia Solar Working Group to provide our, will be found on supercon sites and growing out all native pests.

So that's actually a little bit of a challenge, figuring out what will grow there and how much mediation is done in order for other things.

So, again, this is just linear data.

It's about 120 acres.

I think two to five years, that's the data that we have.

And then again, can't read anything either, but at least I can read the sheets.

So they're great.

So exciting part, you know, I don't know that we took a moment to celebrate enough at the beginning of the policy discussion, but the inflation reduction act is, I mean, the amount of solar and renewable energy that's being put on the grid as a result of this legislation is huge.

So lots of companies are scaling up on more included,

But before that, we began at New Bernards Park in the past year.

They're four-legged, they're furry, and they do get good shots.

So we have been implementing solar or anything across some of our sites.

So, obviously, we're not necessarily going to be solar or anything where they're all near a friendly ground cover.

We don't want the trees feeding on your habitat.

But there are sites that solar or anything in the village proved to be

I mean, and so some of us would be at least first the sheep were coordinating whichever to put lots of sheep in the site where this is actually sort of being in one hand offered a very rural place where we're still mowing.

We were actually unable to have this segment.

And if you go to the next slide.

Oh, thank you.

But so the benefits of solar engraving, we guided the sheep

They're the only type of paper you currently have.

They will, they are small, but it goes under the panel and gets actually harder to replace it that holders can't reach.

So they don't have a hard to look, right?

Like an electric or diesel powered motor.

And they, you know, they

They also, there's this employer and study that they're actually restoring factors or having them in there managing that season.

It's actually increasing the quality of the soil, which is a huge benefit.

And then one of the exciting ones that you heard on the room with the shepherds, they guarantee success.

They're really robust contracts and deliverables that they're committing their sheep to, and so far,

Nothing but success.

And I personally have not made it to one of my active solar grazing sites, but I have put it on my must-have list.

And you know, the thing, again, once you've got these photos, slide the shirt, this top left photo, the grass is too odd.

She came into, I don't want to say I'm a black kid type, but a little less in love with the data management state.

And then some of the actors you can see, it's just like an evenly trimmed, like beautiful cotton, but I think it would be far to go with such precision.

I know they're very excited about the prospect and the opportunity for them to dive forward or anything.

She's been in the industry in the U.S. a little bit on the decline.

So giving shepherd, which I was talking to some of you before, that there are shepherd and sheep herders in the area that are excited about this opportunity done in Virginia.

And it really is a great way to get multiple benefits from one particular site.

This is actually what I think is most important is how do we work with solar interrupts?

So this is the full location of a traditional, agrable facility when it gets older.

So if you've seen it down here, it's actually back to the solar garden in Colorado.

The models are significantly higher off the ground, so there's actually traditional vegetation growing at the same time that it will profit in, but there is

This is a huge opportunity for the industry and for that opportunity to give energy and food.

I think someone heard me in one of my pretty slides say that it's an opportunity to have artists sign voice once as a source of energy and second as a source of props.

Yes.

I want to ask a little bit about that.

One of the things we obviously look not only for the maximum height limit on solar panels,

So it's definitely complicated, first and foremost, and that's actually the biggest thing under them right now, the top considerations related to that.

So the tagging you make a slower array, let's say one foot taller, sort of a accommodated taller crop, then you have to put potentially one foot of steel under the ground and see why the weight of that higher

So you're not talking about a lot of additional resources that are going into this plant, and you don't necessarily have it.

We don't have the data just yet to see what we're webbing you.

These crops can take under you though, figuring out which crops they work for.

It's also going to figure out how really

and all of these conversations that have been happening in Virginia around prime agricultural land because I, as you can tell, am pretty excited about this stuff and also an idealist.

And so I can't even believe that there is an opportunity for solar and agriculture to be this important.

They don't think it needs to be solar or farming.

In addition to that, we have these big goals to address to meet climate change.

And we're going to get 40% of our energy from solar by 2035.

which is currently a role of the administration designed to do two million acres of land across the U.S.

So in order to make that happen, you need to tap into some of the undervalued property, all of the undervalued property, the land belt, the mine site, decommissioned coal land that there are places that we can go, right?

But even if you go to all those places,

So we're going to have to figure out a way to build responsibly in communities and work within the agricultural communities.

It's a great opportunity.

It's a lot of flatlands.

It's not as good as it gets because it's growing crops, right?

So how do we figure out how to work with farmers, with the agricultural community?

Because we need energy, right?

When we put black fish, we put light on.

But we also need food to survive.

So we can't be sneaking land out of active agricultural production in order to meet our energies.

That's not a trade-off that anyone wants to make.

And I don't think that's what I mean.

So, affirmative energy actually has a lot of studies that are going on right now.

I don't know if it's going to impact it in Virginia, but to figure out when you're talking to the region, and to figure out sort of the height of the region, then, you know, how high you can build a solar array.

I don't think that you can get as high as we are here.

There are certain things, oil lower,

Ross again, Victor Campbell, and so again, a lot to learn, but the good news is right at the beginning, I mean, a lot of companies like Encore that are committed to figuring these out.

And then we've heard some resources on how to rotate it.

It's different.

seed mixes, all kinds of things.

I would urge you all to click on that, but that will be the end of our presentation.

So there are two things that are being valued.

There are at least three things I know that are being said.

One is the higher height.

to figure out a little mini hand artist and just get it under.

There's all those things being done where there's space to get it right.

It's hard to allow an engineer to go through and manage the artist that way.

And then I would say the third thing that's being done is the differences of what you brought.

I know there's something quite well in shading.

You can throw it as well, but then the final thing you want to eat for the rest of our lives.

So it's getting all of you up.

So it depends if it's exciting, I mean, is it exciting or do you think it's worth it?

I'm really excited.

I'm not a person in finance.

I might not be able to skip the contract, but they can sell us the land and then we own the land.

They can lease the land to us so much like with wind farms, farmers will obviously get farms, but then, you know, land is, you know, that in and of itself tends to also be beneficial to the farmer as well, especially with the land in active ag, right?

So they're getting the revenue from the farm

We're getting the revenue now on solar advantages, Damon.

And then in other instances, the land could be owned by an municipality, maybe not a farmer.

So that is usually in that, again, it's purely stormwater.

The other part of my question, mitigation has always been a concern because farmers, or food farmers here, are concerned that this process

will put such destruction of the nutrients in the plants, it doesn't sound like it is, but it will destroy the land so badly that if they get it back in 30 years or 20 years, it can't be used with the productivity of the agricultural products.

So I would say traditional solar development can be disruptive to the soil quality of the land.

What we're seeing with

Yes.

Oh, the biggest thing I've been hearing is about the work being cleared.

We, you know, we have a forum on our site for people to reach out to say that they have a piece of land that they would like us to develop for solar.

And yet, I would love to see hundreds of people talk about it.

We don't get, we get a lot of

and one of the questions we asked is, is this forest and land?

And people were like, yep, cut them down.

We consider that to be a fatal flaw for any project that we want to develop.

We're not going to clear cut forests.

We don't think we need to.

But again, it's about getting this conversation with the farmer, right, right?

You've got to put the solar rate somewhere.

And in some instances, someone is willing to cut down on a tree from their property.

on a positive solution.

So, one of the elements is the embodied agriculture in solar that's in poverty.

What is going on in the state of this language?

Good question.

So, and I want to come to you with a couple of those on the screen.

It's never hydrophobic events that are well required in a lot of the talk.

So the moment you're taking, if you're putting a solar in your farm, it's no longer going to be there.

You're going to have to follow the guidelines with that.

So I think they're, you know, I'm not saying that solar should be able to be developed without

with an exception for how it might impact the local.

So I think there is some, there's a bad diagram, right, where there's an overlap of what makes sense for things that are owned as agriculture and adding solar to it, what things you can keep as the agricultural buildings.

One of the challenges for having a state like Connecticut, there's a huge tax credit that you get for your land if it's owned as agriculture.

And second, you put that switch to commercial, that tax credit goes away.

So in order for the land use payment to be enough

that may even be slightly financially motivated to switch it, it would have to be astronomical.

And in some of these farmlands that aren't impacted, though we're taking something that's sitting in use, we can't console around the impact benefits.

So that's an ongoing conversation.

Is there a difference in the power

Line where you come from a small solar facility that's doing this return on investment to where you say to flip the level to make it convertible and you lose the credit.

So we were primarily, you can see the difference, by the definition, we're still in the utility sales space.

Five megawatts is a relatively small project.

It will look big, a couple of night acres.

I'm not going to show you some of the statistics, but you know, there's several acres on these.

So we don't generally deal with several acres, not a hundred.

And we don't deal with, so we don't generally deal with, if you can use land, you can use it.

So, there are a lot of different ways that you can monetize the electricity that's produced in the solar array.

Enzymes submit it, plug it into your house, right?

And then there are like the steel builds that are outed and simplest.

So, there's unit power that we need.

Now, someone mentioned they have a daughter that is charging their house and they're renting a car and that is not something that all of them can do.

So you being a customer of the union, you being a customer of the union, you have access to power.

So that can be a challenge and that is the statement of the state, how that works.

You're behind the meter, so you're in front of the meter, you're giving back some utility, and so going out to everyone in the neighborhood, and so if you're in your communities, then that's the island after the guard goes down.

If anyone wants to speak up, we actually have a forum that offers about info.

If not, we will do a little ball for slavery.

If not, we are good enough here to save our comments.

So a lot of people are talking about the heat doesn't matter how hot it is in the hand, right?

So all our space can be stuck between here, right?

And I'm a little bit hesitant in that solution because then I'll know anybody in the room, they'll be like, oh, well, if they're able to not spread that array out any further than it used to be.

So the idea of how do we stay between the panels?

So probably grow, shave your panel,

like in the ERN, but I don't, you know, again, we're innovators.

So I believe there's a solution out there.

We want to be fine.

Thank you so much.

Oh, that's awesome.

Thank you so much, Lori.

I'm a member of the planning and implementation team at the African-American Student Environmental Justice Coordinating Committee, and he is the graduate of Shaw University, a bachelor's degree in military philosophy.

We should analyze them.

Martin Allshouse is from Martinville, being helpful in science and air.

He's worked in and off of the world for over 20 years and has been a new work manager.

He's part of the hunger justice leader for the rest of the world, a 100-40-year group of women's authors, a two-and-a-half-month trainer, a 36-year interventionist man for several lives, and a 50-year-old veteran from Long Beach, New York, came to be here today.

He's powerful.

Good news for the industry.

Good news for the industry.

Good news for the industry.

Good news for the industry.

Good news for the industry.

Good news for the industry.

Good evening.

I just want to let you know my background is in numbers and paperwork.

I shouldn't talk to all of us.

Maybe if you set it down.

Oh, I get it.

How about I make the slides for you?

All right, today's channel is an art and discovery department of art and family.

Leading all four art and discovery has been applied to the recent of last year.

So we've all been a learning group.

We have new policies, we have new chances.

We don't know what we can do.

We are in only state that we would have this higher standard of doing this work.

The original development you will find where I'm just reading through the webinar

So,

So I'm sure everybody is seeing what you're doing there.

Thanks for the time.

For the environmental justice, fair treatment will move you along with every person with knowledge of race, color, national origin, income, faith, disability, voting, development, implementation, enforcement, any environmental regulation, and policy.

The Department of Justice happens to inform you that it is a policy that the Department of Justice can make for environmental justice and ensures that it is a very adequate component for the focus of the environmental justice community.

It is a community.

A lot of the questions that you might have today are not going to be able to be there with you, but your guidance is coming, because there's going to be no gay rights, so I can't even speak, so you know that's going to come, but it is going to come.

Environmental justice act, key recommendations of environmental justice, which is going to be a fair treaty with a new and equitable declaration of all human rights in the middle room, keep the barriers of this force to be shared, even negative environmental consequences.

as well as the industrial, development, and rental operation programming talks, including meaningful engagement.

It means the requirements that expected and vulnerable community residents have access to other students.

Specifically, a full and viable decision-making process by our fellow black community members and black community members to develop the decision-making to seek out and consider such participation on the feasible side of community residents to shape

Richard Fisher and Mark Brown are just some years, activism emerging from civil rights movement and other black activism.

They're right in front of these black divisions.

You go to sanitation sites, you go to the sanitation space, but potentially in the EPA, it's better than my Saturday in Longwood for civil rights, talking about Warren and Carolyn and things like that.

So they haven't had any strikes so far.

Sadly, before fall of more of this environmental injustice in June, General Thomas Thomas, President of the Greek Republic, showed a positive way to the United States.

In 87, he used to say, the most urgent threat was the Black and Jewish community.

The United Church of Christ commissioned the reign of Jonathan King.

He died on the 4th of May in the great United States.

Essentially, this university just had

I've been in the state of the state for a long while.

It's been part of the very thing that was part of that movement.

First national people coming from our national leadership in the summer of 1991 drafted about 17 principles of our national system.

Federal government actually run such as the regulation of the state in the current treaty issue.

Part of the intent of the treaty was to

I want to be able to not be able to focus very well with the vision of environmental and chemical and federal actions, more or less in progress, both achieving environmental protection.

So we've just seen the intersections of environmental justice, environmental law, and human rights.

So as you can see, I've already given you a sense of what they are and how they kind of look at that.

What does DEQ do to protect and enhance the environment of Virginia in order to promote the health and well-being of our own citizens, brothers and sisters in accordance with national law and regulations?

The vision that all Virginians, including the American one, are prepared for is effectively defined for Johnson's country.

We have needed practice, permits, and e-communication currencies

The facility and governing bodies have limited pollution.

Concessions and compliance are important.

DEQ is back committed to the treatment of fire.

Monitors.

The monitors air and water quality, and DEQ programs can make improvements.

In the impact group, the major state projects, federal projects, and a few other categories.

The additional areas are health and government, and the federal government.

And that's where DEQ works.

Drew Gaddon, David Worsley, Steve Fox, well, they showed a little bit of this, they showed a little part of the music.

It's weird.

Where are all the voices in the news?

Sad to prove that some kind of matter or should we be able to say the first hand

It has been an honor to understand and share this story together to attract more guests as we finish.

Being here and seeing the students who paid us on our internships and partnering with us to work along with the environmental professionals in the area, it has been a huge success.

In 2014, there were 19 reasons why many of them used to come to the meeting all at one time in the issue.

the State of Education, the State of DEQ-initiated Camping, it's educating students about environmental issues.

DEQ's air programs are being trained to educate students that are injured.

And around the world, DEQ is the new form of the EJ program, important in EJ education, primarily for climate investigations.

And along with that, God is consuming the rules for a lot of the EJ programs in the Middle-Mississippi area.

Secretary, in 2007 DEQ assigned EJ Coronado working base with Coronado Management and EPA.

In 2008 DEQ worked with EPA Region 3 to develop earth-ventilating life-comparing income.

In 2008, DEQ received a series of special strategies for all of the pool, program, water, air, and all of those strategies.

There's always a big piece here in the oral of this novel that we're learning about here.

The mission of the environmental justice office is to ensure the value of the meaningful involvement of all individuals in development, and the implementation and enforcement of the environmental law of the environmental justice office.

We're going to be able to meet with several of us this afternoon for a question in terms of the effect that we have.

Chuck Kraft, and John O'Brien, Wayne King Community School for a lot of evidence of all the spreading issues of poverty.

I mean, it's pretty hard to describe it all.

It's a lot of the work that we're working on to do before and after those events.

I mean, we hear a lot of some communities and talk to communities about what's going on physically.

So, um, um, um, um, um,

all of that because there was something in Longview that we found quite a lot in Longview.

Most of it was actually moved out into the community.

I'm trying to understand what it is.

But then, I think this is one of the major reasons why our offices created this.

Dale is a really great rock artist, but there's a lot of people who do understand science things, but there's a lot of us who really have been trying to get early reviews

with that E.J.

Springsteen talk a little bit about it, if you're right, that's been a game changer for, I mean, I understand what you're talking about.

It's because now you're executing.

With that tool, you can execute on what schools are, what the effective persons are, so it's been a real game changer.

There's two other, or at least two others, two other,

So they're really amazing.

EPA has an environmental justice tool and the CDC has a social vulnerability index.

And that really was good, but it really kind of did help us.

I mean, we need a justice tool, especially the EPA tool.

The justice tool did that with the communities that are dealing with environmental justice issues.

And they put that along with layers of

Redline, you start understanding the history there of the fact that it reminds you that there's a strong history that they've been placed where they've been placed.

There are other communities still in command throughout the community.

There are other sources of information nearby.

There are other communities and agencies in this process.

Community meetings, mail, fires.

That's it.

These are non-public status rules.

the authority and leadership of the staff against the guidance and tools, accessibility and information on both people and community engagement.

TJ.

Oh, sorry.

That's not it.

That's the North American community.

We're actually looking for a program manager who's recently had a program manager.

We're going to have a senior program manager.

I have a little bit of a vision of the chapter of the valley.

Thank you.

Since it's been more of a race, it's not going to work.

I've got a little bit there.

I'm supposed to be able to put some on there, but I can't see it.

We all walked in and I think they said it was about the two of you.

So you don't see each other like that.

Our team members, it was all a size and age.

Thanks.

What we do, and then my arm is just, it's like, again, we have to really think about these decisions.

We've got to be able to build relationships, provide engagement skills, put a lot of attention to engagement, participation in the decision-making process, support with community members and community organizations, local governments, public safety, we've got to teach you, and learn a lot of different factors, and engage in a way that's systematic and that's going to be productive.

I think it's gone.

That's my fault.

In my studio, in my studio videos, there was this guy here who says, we all have the wahoo.

We have wahoo.

And he says, the wahoo didn't do that.

But that's what we do on Instagram.

We show them what it is.

We don't let them learn chess.

I don't know what you're talking about.

I don't know what you're saying.

It's all about the environment.

Who are they?

Who are they when you study?

They kind of do that and work on it.

I don't know what you're saying.

It won't be very eligible.

I don't know what the other offices did, but I do know, let's say this one, I do know for the section bracket that they're looking for, they do want a law, somebody with a law experience to kind of speak to civil rights issues.

And if you notice, like I talked about with the redlining and things of that nature, a lot, you'll see hand in hand a lot of the environmental justice issues

Well, we're in a lot of civil rights issues here.

There's a long history in the history of the state of state, they tell you, there's a long history, and they talk about everything that they've had to do.

Thank you, and I want to say I think it's really important to note that all of your presentations have had a very big dimension in equity,

There's a lot of work going on right now, a lot of agencies, a lot of pain in the eye right now.

So if they will be introduced and will work with the communities when you are creating policy, is there any kind of, you know, meeting the long-term plan to do that type of engagement?

I feel that a lot of times we have a big problem bringing them to the table and getting them to the initial thing and then kind of, or is it just the environment that needs to be converted or whatever.

But is there any long-term programs you need to do

So the cool thing, and it fits right into my question, the cool thing is they have an EJ council, and that council is local people, citizens that are limited to that role, and so they kind of dictate to us in ways of what communities they would like to see people work with, but then for the long term piece, as you asked, you know, hopefully, we're here for the long term too,

We're also looking for neighborhood channels.

I don't know if y'all have seen like Blue Ridge, Valley, and Channel.

That's the biggest reason I don't know everybody else.

It's a lot of ground.

I remember a gentleman from the University of Tennessee who built their land here.

I did not like that you didn't look at, oh, it's just a lot of legislation.

But yeah, so we're pretty good at trying to stay involved.

We don't want to be those people because when you say, hey, Lauren Allshouse is just kind of parachuting and getting ready to go right now.

No, the rule paint that we've seen in this work is only asked to get to communities, and so a lot of people

We don't realize, Barbershops and Beauty Summit are some of the best places to get communities out when normal people come out.

It is a two week basis that people normally go to the Barbershop and Beauty Summit.

You're not going to let just anybody touch your hair.

So that means you trust that question to a degree.

And it is a good way to get free advertising for a few of the events that I've seen better.

I just, you know, when that ends up being a boulder that's being crushed in my mind, that being historically just a portion of numbers of oil, oil plant strength,

You know, I just saw this the other day with my mom, and they were talking about the basketball court area, and it was right around, what used to be the African American House School, but now it's here, and they're talking, parts of the court are in the current situation, where it's like, hey, Chad, we're kind of thrilled with what was going on with the court.

I was like, wait a minute, that'll be the land research, but she's gonna be here.

Orlando, right along the slum.

So a lot of people are here, you can see cats and rats coming into the room.

So a lot of people can use that as an example.

A lot of it is very hard to come along with it.

The current law, which is dependent on all different parts of the county, in the city districts,

Senator Price, Florida Senator Price, that you can negotiate with the community.

So that is the national amendment.

That's where the DEQ organization is all around.

I'll be sure if it's okay with the presenters to stand on behalf of the permission of the attendees that registered and the board of trustees as well.

And I hate to cut off the questions right here, but for the rest of the comments, please enjoy the refreshments and the tables that have volunteered this time.
