That's the main thing.

And to kind of give you an overview of where we are in terms of facilities needs, field space for recreational, athletic purposes.

What is the next step that we give our citizens, our students, and financially speaking, working together to make that happen makes sense for where we are right now.

I mean, I look at Albemarle and it's grown like crazy since I was born.

And usually what they find to do is not what we all want them to be doing.

And so we added more middle school programming so that they have things to do after school, but we are running out of space.

And so there are lots of things that keep us kind of out of the competition at least because we don't have as much of those things.

So what are you currently suggesting?

Where would you like me to start?

I'm not going anywhere.

So it's not prohibitive.

So I think that would be a great place to put timing to see if we could come up with a simple design.

This is more probably the quicker end to start getting things rolling and adding to the wonderful facilities that we have now.

from the school side of things and to kind of jointly talk about what is feasible and present something to both boards that would look, you know, equally between both entities, something that would service both places.

Like I said, I mean, there's four basketball courts, like four, and then there's an indoor soccer facility.

Especially if you have a position of getting a middle school

We just have such a population of kids that play fast-forward and they're having to go to Charlottesville and Albemarle to play.

It's like that feels like a numb two-part of the voice gaming.

I think the good thing about building a building like that is you can add on to it relatively.

Well, and they have a built-in also from set to stand area where, I mean, those tournaments that they have over there, I mean, they're going all day and

Like adult indoor soccer, I know they use a lot of the stuff like in Almonte County, they could have more spaces.

And so that money is still there accumulating.

So there should be, in theory, about $700,000 in that.

basketball boards, some of these fields, some of the, you know, without having, you know, like a big fancy building, but having maybe a building that has opportunities there, that's definitely a possibility.

So it doesn't have to be just a line.

So I'd love the opportunity to be able to do that.

I mean, so we have to be careful how we do it and if we phase it correctly.

On that resource fund that we were given through the state, wasn't there going to be $140,000 devoted toward a study on how to approach parks and park master plan?

I had asked in the budget for $140,000 to do a master plan, but that wasn't funded.

When people were talking, I think we were last meeting or two meetings ago, as to how that was being distributed.

So we would absolutely love to be able to offer more things.

I mean, I can sell this to you in 100 different angles.

But it's, you know, y'all's kids are much younger than that and they grow to perform.

We just want to talk about a little bit about the needs that we can all work together to develop the plan, utilizing all of our county's resources, just get

And so what we've focused on is really ensuring that every student who has a need is connected with community resources.

But the more we can work together to enhance those resources, the community services for those kinds of things, the better our citizens will be as women.

We couldn't do half of the programs without that cooperation, really.

So the $12 plus the $3 is $15 million.

But in the meantime, before the end of this calendar year, I need to be able to sign the acceptance, which hopefully will be an easy vote.

So the resolution is to allow you to sign the acceptance.

I just am worried about how we pay for it.

But I think probably what's most productive based on what you're saying, we can come back with some options on what it would look like to borrow the money, what it would look like, you know, like what the availability of unassigned fund balance might be.

to your point, a lot of competing things that go after that money, as well as the timing associated with those, because we could go, now that we have a AA bond rating, we'll get much better, it'll be a much better situation if we go and use the state pooled borrowing.

So we can look and see what that timing would be, or pull it back.

I mean we might have to add a little percentage on to it just to cover the cost of that.
