Make sure you did all your summer things.

One thing I'm going to do is get on my paddleboard more, because I didn't do that very much in this dry, hot summer.

And something that I want to do is go to Lake Sharando.

Something that I will be doing at the end of the summer is going to Busch Gardens at least once this year.

It's been a while.

One thing I'll be doing before September 21st is trail work.

I'm Meredith McCrate, and I will be playing more volleyball.

And the one thing I wanted to get done was actually be here in person, so I'm checking that off my list.

And what I'll be doing for now until next spring is working on our front yard.

Before the summer is over, I'm going to go race my bike a hundred kilometers this weekend.

I am hoping to take my dog to a dog park because she's now fully vaccinated before the summer's over.

And one thing I want to do before the summer's over, well, it's sort of over for me because I started school, but finish reading some personal reading books.

I am a senior at AHS and I'm just here to observe and learn a little bit about how city government functions.

Any final summer bucket list activities you're looking forward to?

I would say just read more.

The work, like the status of the project, if this person has to apparently close it before it's completed, then how are we supposed to know where the project is actually like where it actually stands?

So some of it is you're seeing us trying to work through getting rid of our old system and updating it for a new system and some of it is us recognizing yeah, the old system was not good and

I haven't cleared those, but the workflow that Ben is speaking to is being under reviewed right now.

Is that system running it?

How do we actually communicate when we're moving on something and telling people

So maybe a question for the chairs.

I don't know if she wants to or if the chairs want to have her, but I think a lot of questions will come before her eventually.

She is the one who is running this whole My Seville Update program, and I'm sure she'd be happy to talk about it once she has answers to how she's going to fix it.

I think also in other systems, I think that when there's 10 dating systems, she wants them to either be one system or at least be visible or whatever.

Right, like different language.

MyCFO is a pretty simple program that doesn't allow us to really tweak it all that much, but we can tweak the language and the categories and that kind of formatting and framework.

So it sounds like when it moves to whatever non-public system, that's when you should get moved from submitted to received.

So that's what that is.

So there may be several steps after received.

It's been like a cobweb that she is like pulling at, you know?

I see Peter Krebs has his hand up.

Maybe that tool should be created too and something we can talk to her about.

It's not tied to the city's existing management or their new ones because they're working on a new one in OpenGov as well.

Is there a timeline for when that transition between systems is supposed to be complete?

I don't actually know what the timeline is, but we're actively working on it right now.

I'd rather not have to do more email.

I've heard different things about whether it has to be temporary or whether it could be longer lived.

According to the resolution that was passed that said that we would be able to do this project, we're authorized to do it up to 60 days and then if it proves to be successful, the city manager can authorize it to continue beyond that.

Do you have success criteria for it?

And when we're going to do it, they should also be telling people what we're going to say success means.

But if that's wrong, I would want to see the criteria written down in advance.

Because that might be a factor of not just success, but like

And then we would probably want to express opinions about what the criteria ought to be.

We do want to be upfront about what we're measuring before we go out there and start putting things on the ground.

Do we know when Public Works is going to have draft criteria?

And then once they have gotten that on the ground, then they'll roll out.

So Fry's Spring is very familiar with Fry's Spring.

But Kyle, I don't know if you want to just start off by sharing what you know about the speed enforcement cameras around the schools.

That's what they call red zones, which I haven't found the definition for what a red zone is yet.

Are you in a port?

When they're not flashing, they're not active, they're not recording data, they're not following license plates, they're not flock cameras.

Because those things flash in the summer too.

And those are $100 tickets, right?

So you can drive 25 miles an hour and not get a ticket through the school zone.

So 250 people are driving 26 miles or more during flashing.

A hundred percent.

It's not meant to be a money-making initiative here.

Is there a break-even point that's anticipated at some point soon?

We're looking at the feasibility

Do you have a ratio of invalid citations?

So we have data from last year, but it's not the cleanest data because of all this rejection.

Do you have a metric for how many people actually pay the tickets versus don't?

Yeah, it was about four events last time I checked.

I paid a fine.

I don't know, but not my problem.

We changed the city code so that all school zones in the city must be 15 miles an hour, which is how we kind of took the long way around to change the speed limit on Melbourne.

And it was like, you're telling people they can speak.

So it is working as a preventative.

We're still working on it, but we are actively working on it.

So we've been taking transit and it's been a good way for me personally to get more familiar with our transit system and I'm hoping more staff will take advantage of that as well.

You will get educated by Tommy if you come out on these walks.

There is obviously a need for a pedestrian facility that ties into an existing pedestrian facility on this walk.

Natalie will be there.

We have lots of rides, lots of club rides, lots of shop rides, but this is like filling a void that we had and showing people like our city streets.

Charlottesville won that pre-handily.

So I mean we're very small compared to these other places.

That's where that golden helmet came from was us being the place where everybody's biking.

So we've got to step it up next year to keep our crown.

Like it shows that the work that we're doing with our partners, I guess is what I'm saying.

So, hey, if you're not going to show that video, just go back to it real quick.

It shows Family Bike Day, and I thought he did an awesome job putting that together.

And then the last slide we got here is just some of the work that our trailblazers who grew the KF program have been able to do, maintaining some of the trails.
