Well, I'll call the meeting to order.

We've got a quorum of the EDA members.

We'll approve the next meeting.

So I think we need to go into closed session.

I guess it's okay for me to make the motion even though I'm not going to go into the meeting.

I move that the Albemarle County Economic Development Authority go into a closed meeting as authorized by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act section 2.2-3711A of the Code of Virginia under subsection 5 to discuss and consider

The expansion of an existing Albemarle County business in the Scottsville Magisterial District Project Olympian

We know previous announcement has been made of its interest in expanding its facilities in Albemarle County and subsection 3 and 39 to discuss and consider the acquisition of real property for transportation improvements in the Rio Magisterial District, a public purpose where discussion and open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiation strategy of the public body,

and information subject to the exclusion in subdivision 3 of section 2.2-3705.6 related to economic development to wit proprietary information voluntarily provided by a private business pursuant to the promise of confidentiality to be used by the EDA for the development of business and trade.

Both exceptions relate to project Julius.

and identified in the motion authorizing the closed meeting were heard, discussed, or considered in the closed meeting.

Director Long recused himself from the closed meeting and he didn't participate in it in any fashion.

So we'll go to Director McNaughton.

He recused himself on Project Olympian and he exited the meeting.
