I hope that this assessment and looking through this lens will include, for example, for us rezonings and land use, as well as other issues we deal with.

Yes, so the Community Development Department has been one of our key partners and we are working with them to build that into that as well.

So I would simply ask that when the data is looked at, that we also break it down by demographic group, not just in terms of total group.

It's the first time we've had it all collected since it's been happening in real time, and that's definitely on one of the items on our list.

and culture of all of our community members in Amarillo County, including those who are not currently legal citizens.

So currently it would be if they could build toward the house but not away, it wouldn't be increasing the impact at all.

And they could not just towards the house, but they could, you know, I'm looking at this picture towards kind of the bottom of the slide, which I guess would probably be north, but I don't know.

It is a clause that refers to the purpose for the buffer, which was in the slide that's there on the screen.

I'm a little confused as to what the significance of that is.

Well, it may not be, but I just want to be certain that if the language that's shown on the slide is what community development wants to be the condition, then the board should adopt a resolution with that condition too.

Brumfield, is the language as contained on the slide the actual resolution, proposed resolution?

I would go ahead and say no because the language that you have in your packets is the one that was approved by the county attorney's office.

If not, then I think it's clear that what would be approved or disapproved just puts in our packet and not what is on the screen.

What does community development prefer?

No, I had no objection to the change from the county attorney's office.

and they've been seeing 20 to 30% occupancy, so it's been a huge drain on their operation.

So it's COVID related and we would expect that in another year that would go back up or start going back up at least?

Yes, we absolutely do expect that to go back up and it's just a matter of time.

Peter, I think you normally send us, and you answered this in an email from me today, you normally provide us with our own magisterial data so that you'll be sending that out to us.

I've been working on that the last couple days, and I will get that out to you.

The only other comment that I would make is I think for folks who might be listening, and maybe you mentioned this, but assessments will be mailed I think the last week in January.

So people will have them in their mailboxes starting the next week in the first of February.

I appreciate the excellent report.

Would that be a good assumption?

So it's connected in that way.

Yes.

And that's a state agency determined value which we use.

Could you describe a little bit more what that means?

But we will get ratios from 90% to 110% and we're hoping to get the majority of properties in that range.

And so the smaller the variance number, the better you're doing related to state certification?

there's data measurement if I were to walk to his office right now and say Pete what are we going to be doing in two years that we're not doing right now he has a vision for that and that is a vision that is tied in with our broader improvement work that's going on in a number of our internal service departments and Pete's internal service but he's the external facing and the good work that he and his team do they benefit our citizens every day our our community members every day and I appreciate the board's continued support thank members

That's really important for not only us as supervisors but the rest of the staff and most importantly our constituents to hear.

okay all right thank you members of the public thank you again for your patience we're still experiencing a few technical difficulties we are going to go ahead and move forward um and mr richardson i believe we have another presentation this will be on our uh second quarter fy21 albemarle county economic outlook i believe mr alshouse will be leading that

that you think is going to be the slowest coming back or the fastest coming back?

Generally, I would look for those three sectors to recover probably the most slowly, but again, I'm going through a little bit of speculation here because I don't have a good answer for that because I don't know the micro data at this point, simply because we don't have micro data available from the Bureau of Labor Statistics at this point.

Do we have a tally of local businesses that have folded during this period of time?

I think that number likely will increase as we look at more recent data.

And the only thing I would add is for what you just the one of the reasons for all the reasons that you just said, I guess we would never use one time funding for salaries.

You need to use ongoing funds for that.
