18. Ordinance Amendment - Administration; Elections; Jack Jouett Magisterial District; University Hall Precinct - Change of Precinct Name and Polling Place Location. To receive comments on its intent to adopt an ordinance to amend section 2-101, Jack Jouett Magisterial District, of Article I, Elections, of Chapter 2, Administration, of the Albemarle County Code. The proposed ordinance would change the name of the University Hall Precinct to the University Precinct, and would change the polling place for the University Precinct of the Jack Jouett Magisterial District from University Hall, 300 Massie Road, to the University of Virginia Slaughter Recreation Center, 505 Edgemont Road.

PROJECT: SP-2017-00032 UVA Outdoor Tennis, Permanent Connector Road, and Birdwood Golf Course Addition MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT: Samuel Miller TAX MAP/PARCEL(S): 07500000006300 LOCATION: 410 Golf Course Dr., Charlottesville, VA 22903 PROPOSAL: Amend SP-2017-00023 to allow for the construction of a new outdoor tennis facility for use by the University of Virginia men’s and women’s varsity tennis teams, as well as a “short course” addition to the existing Birdwood Golf Course containing six par-3 holes. Proposal also includes a request to allow for unrestricted, permanent vehicular use of a private street connecting the subject property with the adjoining Boar’s Head Sports Club property (TMP #059D2-01-00-01500). Thank you for attending today's public hearing. During the 2018 Calendar Year, the Chair is Ann H. Mallek and the Vice-Chair is Norman G. Dill.

During the time set aside for "Matters Not Listed for Public Hearing on the Agenda", individuals may address the Board of Supervisors concerning any issue not listed on the agenda for Public Hearing. Individuals are allowed three minutes to speak, unless otherwise decided. A sign-up sheet is provided at the meeting. During Public Hearings, the Board will only acknowledge speakers addressing the item listed for Public Hearing. Speakers are limited to one appearance of three minutes per public hearing item. A sign-up sheet is provided at the meeting and you may sign up online in advance of the meeting at http://www.albemarle.org/bosspeakers/. Speakers will be called forward in an alternating pattern of in person sign ups and online sign ups. Applicants are limited to a ten minute presentation of their proposal and are allowed a five minute rebuttal at the close of the public hearing. Time keeping is conducted through a timer and a light system at the podium. The green light will go on when you begin speaking and this begins your allotted time; a yellow light indicates you hav
